Hello, let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Holloway BSc(Hons),MAR.MCAR. and during 2008 I successfully completed a BSc(Hons) in Complementary Therapies in Practice, being awarded a First Class Honours degree at Salford University.Before that I obtained an advanced practitioner Diploma from the Association of Reflexology and since then I have a PGCE from UCLAN University, and teach Access Biology at a local college.
I am a Clinical Reflexologist, Maternity and Birth Reflexology Practitioner, Infant Massage Instructor, Bodywork Therapist and Aromatherapist and have also taken an additional qualification in Thai Massage.
In addition, I am a Maternity Reflexologist working with clients who have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility, clients who want to engage in pre-conception care and clients who are pregnant. Reflexology has been shown to shorten second stage labour, help mother and baby to bond, help lactation and shorten post-partum recovery time.
It also made sense to me to provide Baby Massage coursesto continue the care of Mother and Baby because it has been found that babies and their carers benefit positively from regular baby massage. It helps the bonding process for adoptive parents too. It can help with communication, and crying is part of babies' communication. Sleep and digestion can also benefit as can babies with colic. Every baby is an individual however, so all babies do not respond the same way at the same time. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and siblings can also learn to do this simple, powerful technique.

My daughter is also pregnant for the first time - her due date is 23rd December 2009, her sense of timing is remarkable! She is of course having weekly Reflexology treatments and so far she is feeling fine. Update soon.
